That's my 2006 Peachtree Road Race time. I finished the thing, anyway, and got the coveted t-shirt.

Well, the shirt didn't suck this year. So that's something.

Happy Fourth of July. Happy Birthday, America. And thanks to our troops for keeping us safe and sacrificing so much.

That's crazy awesome. I don't even think I could run/jog/whatever for 27 minutes, much less run a whole race. Good job!!

Yeah, but I didn't run the whole race. I only jogged the first mile-and-a-half and then had to speedwalk the remainder for two reasons: One, despite having trained in hotter weather actually, I got serious cramps and two, my left foot began killing me about two miles in. When I got home and removed my shoe, I found two adorable blood blisters staring up at me from underneath my second and third toes. So I had to, um, "handle" those myself in order to be able to walk without pain. Not fun.

Long story short, no matter how lame my time is I just won't make myself sick to finish any road race. It's not worth it. This was the hottest PRR I remember in my four years straight of doing the thing. Also, not having the flu this year helped me improve my time. But my best-ever time was only 1:26:10 so this wasn't too awful.

Thanks, y'all. I was just glad to finish. Again. Heh.
