Alternative transportation
Racing each other anonymously on our various ways to our jobs or wherever on the workingman's speedway known as the interstate, we might have missed them - most of the other drivers probably did - but I was lucky enough to catch sight of them right when they passed over the highway.Canada geese, a flock of them, were taking flight to some unknown destination. Starting off, there was a little traffic jam as they jockeyed for position to see who would lead the group but in an instant, with an innate precision honed over too many years to count, they formed an almost perfect "V," so graceful and stately, so unhurried on their long journey across open skies.

I go to work too early to ever see anything like those geese on my drive. Nice that you were able to catch'em.
Oddly enough, the Canada geese love the general area around me so I see plenty of them starting in spring all the way through fall. But, yes, they looked lovely flying off in their "V."
