Kicking the heart out
Tonight I had to break a little kid's heart and he didn't even know about it. I just know that it broke my heart to do it, having to tell someone else the reason why I wouldn't be able to take him somewhere this weekend when I'd be taking his friends, and even though none of it was my fault and I really wanted him to be there, I feel awful.I understand why people used to shoot the messengers.
